COVID-19

Southside Family Medical Group is open daily to help serve the needs of our patients during the COVID-19 Pandemic.  In order to keep people safe, we have implemented multiple safety precautions to benefit you and our staff.  For example, our office doors are locked so people can not walk in freely.  You must have an appointment and will be asked several screening questions.  We are keeping patients in their vehicles, separate from other potentially sick people, and escorting them directly to their clean exam room.  Please call our office at 317-452-8400 upon arrival to check in.

Another change put in place as a result of the pandemic was Telemedicine.  Our EMR vendor, Isalus, has partnered with AnywhereCare to seamlessly integrate a telemedicine platform into our business.  Please download, AnywhereCare, from the app store.  It is free.  Telemedicine is an excellent opportunity for patients to keep or schedule an appointment with their physician.  This platform is a great way to conduct follow-up visits, medication changes, and acute illness visits.  Telemedicine keeps you safe from others, and potentially others safe from your illness.  Telemedicine saves you time and increases safety during this pandemic.  Insurance companies have expanded telemedicine coverage during this time period.

Our doctors have been working and screening patients for the COVID-19 virus.  While our in office lab is able to perform the COVID-19 testing, many of our patients are being sent to Eli Lilly.  If you need to be screened, please give us a call.  We would have happy to perform a COVID-19 telehealth visit and provide the paperwork necessary to obtain your screening from Eli Lilly.
